The Vybe V2 Percussion Massager is a well-built, high-quality machine with six speeds and a very powerful percussion to effectively break up knots in workouts and soothe muscle tension. The speeds range from 500 RPM to 2,400 RPM, which is a bit slower than similar massage guns on the market. However, few guns can hold a candle to the 60 pounds of stall force and 16-millimeter stroke depth of the V2. And, the six speeds allows users to customize the massage.
Quite unique to the Vybe V2 is its 90-degree rotating arm which makes it easy to relieve tension in all the hard to reach muscles. The ergonomic handle is designed to be held in multiple ways and is covered with a nice grip. However, weighing 3.51 pounds, the Vybe V2 is heavy compared to its competitors. Additionally, it is extremely loud (reaching 60 to 80 decibels), so if you do decide to take it out and use it on-the-go, beware that you will probably tick off everyone around you.
The Vybe V2 comes with a compact carrying case and 2 replacement chargeable batteries. And, although Vybe claims the “case is ideal for workout recovery on the go,” you likely won’t be traveling with it given its size and noise level. The replacement batteries are a nice touch. Since the battery life is only 2 hours, it is great that you can always have a charged battery on hand.
Something to keep in mind, a 60-pound stall and 16-millimeter amplitude is powerful. For some, it may be too much. The power and depth of the massage would better suit hardcore athletes or those with a dense body mass.
